A little notice

It looks like I'll probably be doing more non-fandom-y posts in the future. I'll be tagging them under #author for now, and adding the tag "personal." I think I'll f-lock those so that casual browsers can focus on my fandom stuff. If you want to see the locked posts - just add me! I'll add you back a.s.a.p. since really personal stuff won't exactly be here. (Not that I'm even sure what that might mean, lol.)

Personal updates: Still seeking job, but did apply for Dunn Bros. coffee shop. The one downstairs in my building isn't hiring for now, but the owner was really great when I talked with him today and he gave me some suggestions.

Using Meetup.com to try and make some  connections. Next week I'll be at the boardgames group (yay! excited!) and thinking that tomorrow I can easily catch a bus to The Independent and get to the lesbian meetup group for Happy Hour. Hoping it's fun!

Been getting phonecalls from life-long friends, which has been nice. I've already had the phonecall with mom where I devolve into "mmhmm" "yeah?" "mmm" responses, lol. Also, got my first letter from a friend and today got a package from mom with some things I forgot to pack - and CARAMEL CINNAMON ROLLS! (Soooo yummy)

I need to buy pepper and S&P shakers. o_0 Made eggs today (and Mac&Cheese on sunday) and missed those things.

Fandom: What I've watched this past week - A lot of Darkwing Duck (though I've really wanted Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers, but I don't own that *frowny face*), CSI (I own Hong Kong pirated copies of s3&4, so I've started with season 3) - totally forgot how many good moments for Gil & Greg there are! Has gotten me started writing a bit of CSI again... Since I've gotten my net wired for my apartment on Monday, I've been back to watching Mystery Science Theatre 3000! YAY! So much fun.

Netflix instant is really iffy with my connection *irritated* but I did finish up Eddie Izzard's Glorious - love his comedy! And last week when a friend came to visit we went to Mall of America's theatre and saw Avatar 3D. (I was surprised we paid only $9 a ticket!)  To sum up my reaction to Avatar: Awesome graphics (some very, very beautiful CGI), but story is overdone & is TOTALLY a fusion of Disney's Pocahontas and Fern Gully. I seriously was waiting for the Grandmother Willow theme to play, or someone to burst into singing.

Fanfic'ing: No progress or even a little burst of inspiration for anything Criminal Minds. =\ Sorry, m'dears. As mentioned above, CSI has gripped me a bit! I revisited my claim to au_abc and found out the table's been updated with alternatives! =D Actually started the "hustler" prompt. XD Oh cliche!plot fic, yay! (I can't help it... Greg as a hustler? Oh man, the possibilities...)  Originally I was looking at the prompt char to see if something for CM sparked, but 'fraid not.

Starting to get into the idea of editing/revising my NaNoWriMo fic, though. Actually brought it with me to the coffee shop today. Haven't worked on it though (I seem to be busy typing around the net & overhearing the guys chatting at the table behind me, lol.)

Yay! I used to be a HUUUGGEE CSI fan, but fell off during the.. seventh season, I think? Eighth for sure, donno how far you've gotten so I shall not say a thing!

Also, I just wanted to say that I am tres excited to read your NaNoWriMo fic! Good luck with getting inspiration for CM, especially StB. <3

I was really big on it a couple years ago. But yeah, I stopped keeping up during most of seasons 6&7. I've seen episodes, sure, by it's kind of random. Once I found out the results of the miniature killer episodes, I was fine to disengage. Especially because of the (imho) icky icky Gil/Sara stuff. *shudders* Hate that pairing with a passion.

And I can't remember how I settled into Gil/Greg (totally my otp), but I definitely fell hard and it's my exclusive pairing for the fandom. (Honestly I've tried to go for Nick/Greg since there's a plethora of fic to find, but I just can't get into it. *sigh*)

Anyway, thanks for commenting! =D

Yeeaahhh! That's about when I started losing interest, especially with the Gil/Sara pairing. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like it. My family members know my feelings of Sara, and I was quite happy when she actually left. But even then I wasn't into it as much as I had been when it first came out!

I'm not sure if I have any particular pairings from CSI, but as I'm sure you've come to realize, my opt is totally Hotch/Reid. :D

I look forward to stalking your account in high hopes of updates of a particular series. :D <3
