Okay, why do I have to answer this impossibly hard question? My brain just keeps going around in circles trying to figure out a worthy answer! I mean, I love my Dead Zone characters but the series is not my favorite - way too many disappointments. I love The West Wing but I still haven't finished all of it, plus it's a hard one to just jump in and watch since it's a long-running plot. There is, of course, my fantabulous cartoons, Chip'n'Dale Rescue Rangers and Gargoyles. And I am rewatching Disney's Zorro, which is amazing! But none of these seem to quite fit.

At first I'm tempted to say The X-Files and I will put it up there in the top three or whatever because it is just an incredible show and I love rewatching any bit I can. However, the contradition in the mythos and Monica Reyes, and the final season makes me deduct some major points.

Where does that leave me? Still with way too many choices, but I think I'll go with The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Why?

- Cold War era TV series that partners an American, Napoleon Solo, with a Russion, Illya Kuryakin. (And Illya is not an expatriot, he's still a Russian citizen as far as we know from information in canon.)

- Ridiculously awesome gadgets

- 60s kitsch at its finest

- Humor mixed within the occasional serious and/or thought-provoking storyline

- William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy first acted together in the episode "The Project Strigas Affair"

- Parodies the era's spy genre, without getting overly ridiculous and stupid with minor exceptions - we do not speak of "my friend the gorilla" (unlike Get Smart, which was a parody on a parody - it's supposed to make fun of MfU)

- Best friends? Gay lovers? Who the hell knows? XD Perfectly good series for slash fans or anyone who likes shows with a great dynamic partnership

What about you guys? What're your favorite shows?

My current favorite show is probably Leverage. I love it, and it consistently fills my heart with glee.

If we're talking about never-disappointed-me shows, Leverage is at the top of the list along with The Mentalist and The Closer. =D I haven't seen the last couple eps of Leverage, now, and forgot to check online to see if they're up yet. Back home (apartment) now means no tv connection. =p

Hmm, there are some interesting TV questions on this list. For favorite show I would have to go with the original Star Trek. It was the show I never failed to watch when I caught it on TV, and still enjoy now.

For a currently on tv favorite, I would have to say White Collar the characters are just great.
